Under high-pressure conditions, the gate of a high-pressure resistant gate valve acts like a sturdy wedge, driven by the valve stem to be vertically inserted between the two valve seats, achieving mechanical rigid shut-off. When the system pressure rises, the medium pressure will act on the valve seat from the back of the gate plate. This force will be converted into an additional clamping force that pushes the valve seat towards the sealing surface of the gate plate, forming a "pressure-assisted sealing" effect. For high-pressure sealed welded gate valves with welded connections, they are integrated with the pipeline, completely eliminating potential leakage points at the flange connection, minimizing the pressure-bearing boundary, and achieving the highest level of sealing integrity in principle. They are the ultimate solution for ultra-high pressure and high-risk medium pipelines.
